History of The Valley Inn & Abbey Wright Brewing Co.

Wow... where to begin. It all started 20 years ago with our love for live music. Yes, in those days there used to be live bands for every night of the week, and The Valley Inn was one of the areas main places to go to see bands. We'd pack the house every weekend with bands from all over, coming to be seen and heard at a place they knew that the crowd would be big.

When the local bar band scene slowed down, thanks to the drinking laws changing, we watched attendance decrease, and knew we had to do things differently. We added a munchie & appetizer type menu, which of course were a big hit. We all get hungry hanging out, and it also helped soak up those one or two extra beverages.

Our customers began to suggest other items to place on "the menu," which was a piece of paper really, so we created a real menu. Over time, this led us to become a full fledged restaurant with a fully rounded menu. It was monumental change for us but one that carried us through today. We shifted our complete focus to making sure our patrons get consistently great quality food at highly competitive prices.

We also started to feature our famous "Wing Nights" on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This was an instant hit with area folks, andwe are now considerd as the "wing experts" with over 4 million wings sold! We cook off more wings than any other place in the valley. Matter of fact, some of us think we get more "air time" than some pilots! Our wings are finished with 13 different sauce selections ranging from mild to garlic to Xtreme and everything in between. Like most of our wing lover patrons, we're sure you'll find a favorite of your own.

Our 2 newest additions were: the creation of our own micro brewed beer in March 2005, and a beautiful, non-smoking banquet room with two functional fireplaces in August 2005. Abby Wright Brewing Co. was born out of a love of beer and a long-time desire to create our own. What was once just an idea was transformed into a brewing operation that has yielded some amazing results. We now offer several beers created in many styles for different palates to enjoy. Our rotating seasonal barrels guarantee you will find your true beer flavor!

Now that we've come from there to here, we at The Valley Inn & Abbey Wright Brewing Co. are having a blast serving you the best food and beverages we can dream up. Come in and enjoy what we, and others, have known all along... there's no place like The Valley Inn!

Our rotating original brews are handcrafted for your enjoyment right here on the premises. This ensures you of the freshest possible beer, as the brew you drink did not have to survive a journey from St. Louis, Chico, or even Paso Robles. In fact, it has never traveled more than a few feet. We brew in small seven barrel (201 gallon) batches to ensure we have the freshness and taste to pass along to you.
